This article improved my outlook for our pitchers. With so many being held out at the end of fall practice, I was worried that several of our pitchers would have lingering arm/shoulder ailments that would prevent them from being reliable pitchers during the season. It's good to know that all but Storz and Labas will be ready to go for the opening weekend.

What's up with Eric Walker?

What do you mean? All signs point towards him being ready week 1, as stated in the thread. There is a good article posted a page back also on the pitching staff.

Then you know LSU is at a disadvantage
That's not what you said though. You said, Cabrera may have to pitch.
There is a big difference between saying, it would be advantageous to have a couple more quality LH arms vs. saying, we'll be better off throwing Cabrera than a quality RH arm that's available.
Unless Cabrera is better on the mound than we've seen, I don't see that going to him will be advantageous.

you are reading too much into it. All I said is i wonder if they would give Cabrera the ball on occasion. He has the stuff to pitch against college hitters, especially lefties.

All this talk about baseball has me wondering about how we will look at the plate. Anyone have a predicted batting order? Any freshman penciled in to the starting lineup?

I don't see them doing that if the bullpen is healthy and as loaded as we think it is. Unless Cabrera is more than we've seen so far (possible), we'd go to the quality right handed arm in the bullpen in just about every situation.
It's baseball. So, if we have injuries, or find ourselves in a situation where we have very little left in the bullpen (like at the end of last year), sure that could happen.

I’m not arguing against facts. I stated a fact just like you. You act like it’s the end all be all if we don’t have a lefty in situational pitching. Very rarely if at all will that matchup actually be a determining factor in the outcome of the game in a 60+ game season. A dominant righty will do just fine

Lefties get lefties out better than righties. Fact
I’m not here arguing some made up player is better than another made up player.
