Let's bring charitable donations even further into politics. Great idea.
Did you mean like getting rid of the Johnson amendment?

Why would it not cover members of Congress? Why should congress pass an act or law that exempts them from the outcome?

Ohhh. Wait..

Why did you leave out progressives who continuously harp on this?

I still don't think this law is about Trump per se (it's to prevent future presidents from being elected with such gross conflicts of interest).

Richard Neil, as the new House Ways and Means chair, is on record that he's going to request Trump's taxes , presumably under authority of the post-Teapot Dome Revenue Act of 1924. They'll have the returns with or without this law.

I agree with you generally that more elected pols should be subject to COI reporting/oversight.

What's SES, though?

The Senior Executive Service (SES) is a position classification in the civil service of the United States federal government, equivalent to general officer or flag officer ranks in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Is their income inequality insecurity so great that they've actually circled back to "muh tax returns!"?

Looks like it...

You mean like listening about a birth certificate for 8 years? Or bitching and moaning about health care for 8 years but when time comes, clueless about it and wont do anything?

Or yesterday marked the day this board was in full Chernobyl meltdown 7 yrs ago because Obama wore a tan suit and saying he wasn't fit to be president as a result. But Trump was plowing a whore while his wife and 1 month old son was home is a wonderful human to be president.

Dianne Feinstein would single handedly crush such a measure.

I wouldn't be so sure about that - if it gets a vote. Some Republican Senators wouldn't like to run against a no vote.

The completely dumba$$ rule that lets the Senate Majority Leader decide which bills are brought to a vote is detestable.

And McConnell's refusal to allow a bill to go to the floor for the reason that Trump will veto it, is even more than just detestable.

Doc, can you tell me who was the last President that was a Billionaire business man instead of already being a politician?

And this would show up on the tax return?
