Agreed, Stingley will make biggest impact. But Emery will make an impact and will make a great tandem with Davis.

Emory and davis. Don't sleep on Davis bc he's a few spots below in the rb rankings...he's a stud.

I'm not sure I agree that Joseph doesn't move back to safety next year. I could easily see Joseph/Delpit at the safeties and Stingley/Fulton/Vincent as the corners

That has the potential to be sick

Why can't they both have a similar big impact?

All of those possible scenarios that you guys are speaking of, what a great problem to have. And don't sleep on our other recruits, because when greedy signed,he was one of the overlooked guys too.

Stingley. He is a #1 CB the day he steps on campus.

Edit: Stingley is the most talented Tiger in the roster period. All positions. He needs experience, but he possesses ELITE instincts to go along with ELITE athletic ability. He is the best DB prospect in the last 10 years.

This is a tough one...

On one hand RB is definitely a position where an upgrade will be noticed, but it takes a while for freshmen on offense. And Emery with Davis, that's going to be a potent combo. Very potent. Alone Emery is high-impact, so is Davis. Put them together with a QB like Burrow in his 2nd season starting and an OL who started 3 players for the first time... the stars might be aligning.

On the other hand... it's 'easier' for defensive players to make an impact earlier. Add to that that Stingley is that far along just in natural ability (the mental AND physical aspects of his position). And, to boot, he's already been practicing. He's going to have 15 sessions more than your average early enrolee, close to 30 more than a fall enrollee.

Based off of that, I'm going to say Stingley.

This is a tough one. Hopefully it will be a near push, but I think Stingley wins by a nose. If he is up to being a day one lockdown CB, then it makes our whole defense just work. Instant great depth in the secondary. Being able to cover really good WRs in man. As good as I think Emery will be, we need that “next guy” at CB, and it looks like Stingley may be it.
