Stingley will start day one.

quote:

If Emory does not learn the offense, and he is not an early enrollee (by the way), Stingley will have more impact. However, since LSU has no other RB with a second gear and or/ is a potential "premier" RB, if he learns the offense,

LSU absolutely has a running back with a second gear.

Lanard Fournette will be back and be poised for a breakout year. He was bothered by a lingering hamstring injury this past season or he would've played a bigger role.

I'm not saying that lanard is elite but he's certainly capable of contributing and he does have speed.

Never seen 2nd gear out of Baby Fournette...not saying it doesn’t exist, but I’ve sure as hell have never seen it...maybe we can get to see it?

Remind me of his 40 time?

And, to all the people who say Stingley will start day one,

Let’s start two lists:

First list is LSU football players who started day one, fist snap of their true freshman year. Not played in a game early in the season or eventually started later in the year like Lenard Fournette or P. Peterson.

Second list is LSU football players who people on this board predicted to start day one, but actually didn’t.

How much will I not look like an idiot vs. the second list...I feel extremely confident in how those people picking Stingley to start, day one, will start to crawfish...

Anyone game? Feel frogy?

Let’s start the lists!!!

Joseph was recruited as a safety and will return to safety when our CB depth gets better. From what I’ve seen Stingley will be hard to keep off field. He is the closest CB prospect to PP7 that I’ve seen.

I’ll go first:

Patrick Peterson
Lenard Fournette
Chris Davenportport

All 5 stars predicted to “start day one” according to the rant/recruiting board...none of the three did - two eventually started as freshmen, but not the first game...I have 20 or more 5 stars over the last 16 years that didnt...but, I won’t steal someone else’s thunder - go for it!

Everything you said is assumed by anyone with a modicum of reality regarding why Vincent played Nickelback vs. corner - but, when talent is equal, experience usually trumps...

And, my point was I don’t see Stingley or Joseph playing NB - as one other poster suggested -

So you took what I said and twisted it to make me look stupid - ok...

I got it, I have pissed-off a lot of small penised, internet bullies, that really don’t know too much or are not too bright and on top of that, they don’t like new people with ideas that are different and challenge their circle jerk of group think...

Frankly my dear little metro-sexual, cream-puff, snowflake, Peter-puffing, transgender, candy-assed, light weights...

I don’t give a damn!!!

I don't know but Nick Brossette in an interview with Off the Bench said Lanard was 2nd only to Dillon on the team.

You've claimed Stingley won't start a single game as a freshman.

Stingley will never start his first year as a freshman at CB to the exclusion of not playing Joseph at all at CB later in the season.

Your words, no one else's. Don't get butthurt because you said something stupid and people are calling you on it.

Well, pretty much everyone else is mocking you, so I guess we're even.

I would provide you with reading comprehension assistance, but you are beyond help...

Your assignment for the day is to look up the definition of the following words:

Spell - as in “rest” or take a break, as in “Why don’t you sit a spell”

Exclusion

Rotation - not like when “you personally” sit on “your” dildo at home and turn around in circles, but like when the player that “starts” the game at cornerback and is taken out of the game to play the second Stringer...

I know these football concepts are very difficult to grasp, but eventually you could, just maybe, catch on, maybe even before you die.

I’ll be pulling for ya guy!

What does any of this stupid shite have to do with the stupid shite you said about Stingley "never starting as a freshman"? CB depth isn't the issue here, Stingley's talent is. If he's as good as advertised he will be starting opposite Fulton by week 4 or 5.

You seem to have issues.

After his first week practicing with the team, Aranda has already stated what he sees in Stingley. Aranda doesn’t make BS (hype) comments about his players.

CEH will get his yards so we only need Emery/Davis/Curry/etc to =/+ NB’s production. Assuming Fulton comes back, we need to replace an AA DB.

We need Stingley to have the greater impact (next year) and I believe he will.

Ill say Emery but both of these guys were in state needs and home runs by this recruiting staff.

I'm thinking it is a push. What Emery brings to the O side, Stingley brings to the D and ST side.

Both will have fingerprints all over what we are doing in all three phases.

Yes, Emery, because we had no one on offense that would really scare a defense. Seems we will have that now from the RB position.
