And they won’t be able to sustain the cost of living in a house like that over a period of time. Insurance and maintanance and just the typical monthly home expenses. Not to mention having to furnish furniture for a house like that. When you have that nice of a house you can’t skimp out on expensive furniture

I saw one profiled a few years ago located in west St. Tammany Parish north of Covington.
Supposedly some European tech tycoon like the area and dropped a ton of money building it.
Certainly someone on here knows something about it.

Was just looking at that one. Some of those rooms look pretty meh for a $9 million mansion

There are some very ornate homes in the older parts of Shreveport that were built in the 1920s and 1930s. I guess they were built by oil and cotton tycoons.

The 32,000 SQFT former Paula Pennington Estate, don't remember who bought it, but she lost around 12 million on the sale. She is currently building a mere 19,000 SQFT home, decided to downsize.

Not my cup of tea. The garden dist house on the previous page looks much nicer. Bigger=/= better.
