I couldn't imagine being an Auburn or Panthers fan and feeling obligated to pull for him or defend him. I think I would give up watching football.

After the Saints' 4th down conversion toward the end of the game, Rivera also let the clock wind down to the 2 minute warning with 2 timeouts left.
Depending on exactly how much time he let wind down, this is the right play. It doesnt allow the offense as much freedom to feel like they can still throw the ball

if there was like 8 seconds or less, you should let the clock run and not call timeout.

I dunno, I guess the same could be asked of the LSU fans who post LF LSU highlights all the time when talk about him being a NFL bust happens

I see you’re still melting.

Newton's the biggest drama queen in the NFL.

Would be interesting to trade him to Giants where he might be more willing to try hard with flashy and fellow down low gay OBJ.

him being more concerned with doing his first down dance than calling a timeout at the end of the first half tonight? Of course him promptly throwing an interception the very next play made it even better.

Honestly, I think a play in which he begins to pout, feel sorry for himself, and go into the tank for a couple of quarters (at minimum) sums up Cam Newton better than that.

Cam's contract is very tradeable and they have a new owner. They would face an only $8 million cap hit to release (unlikely) or trade him - very doable.

Trade him and replace him with who? Taylor Heineike?

I remember Kamara walking back to the huddle at 2:21. The ESPN play-by-play says 4th down was snapped at 2:30, after Carolina had just used their 1st timeout.

So they basically gave away 20 seconds without the Saints having to run another play when it could have been 3rd down coming out of the 2-minute warning.

I had completely forgotten that play was in the Super Bowl. What a career defining moment.

They arent but for some reason they do.

Im not obligated to defend any LSU players while playing at LSU or in the pros.

And frick him for trying to end Kamara's season. I hope we go after his legs in the last game with some 3rd string backup

You could substitute Jim Haslett and Aaron Brooks for Rivera and Newton.

Not that Brooks was ever that good but he was a dumbass with horrible body language.

Ok cool.

He's still a below average NFL quarterback.

He’s certainly better than below average.

Average is not a high bar in the NFL

It honestly seems like LSU fans really don’t give a shite about that game and it’s Aubtards that can’t get over it.

He's about as good as Trubisky.
