I actually do understand, I work in a related field.
Google searches (and AI generally) tend to "learn" from humans giving their approval or disapproval of the various results it tries. Eventually it learns that the "right" answer is whatever the general public thinks.
In short, search engines simply reflect human biases across the general population - but are not deliberately programmed that way.

The algorithm didn't spontaneously generate itself. No one is arguing that it did. If that's all you were saying, then we'd have no issue.
"All of you" seem to be arguing that Google is intentionally tweaking their algorithm to shite on Trump. You've given zero evidence of that, other than that Trump is linked to mean things. When it is explained to you why that might be, absent Google's intervention, you put your fingers in your ears and screech.

It is well known that Google has an algorithm. The algorithm can be used to push desired results to the top. There is an entire industry based on this for fricks sake. SEO.
Google also changes its algorithm periodically to give you better search results (aka give you what they think you should see).
Then the SEO crowd figures out how to manipulate it again. Rinse and repeat.
As for the idiot image, that is an easy hack. During the 2016 election r/the_donald and the chans would have it weekly. Search pedophile and you get a picture of Podesta. Search rapist and you get a picture of Bill Clinton. Search crooked and you get a picture of Hillary.
Someone, likely DU or Soros bots, decided to make a picture of Trump the first image that pops up for idiot.
Will Google adjust their algorithm now like they did for rapist, pedophile, and crooked? Or will they leave the picture of Trump there because they are all soy drinking cum lovers?
