99% of them. So frustrating. Hard to believe someone has not built a design that indestructible.

OTOH, a gas station near where I live has one with a digital display and takes debit cards.

FTW.

I feel ya. That’s why i bought a portable compressor that i keep in my trunk. $20 and it’s saved my arse throughout the years. Plugs into the cigarette lighter.

I had one of those. It took 30 minutes to air up a tire.

I don't get the ones that want you to pre-set the air pressure. They never work correctly. I thought I was the only one who is peeved by them....glad to see I'm not!

Gah dang! Mine is the smaller one so it takes a bit...depends on how flat the tire is. It usually takes about 2 minutes if it’s flat to fully aired up.

I have a Slime compressor that plugs into the 12V power port inside the car. As long as I have gas, I have air.

ETA: Yes, I totally picked it out of all the other compressors because of the name.

You wouldn't get in a bind if you purchased a "Jump Start" with a built in air compressor that operates off of a cigarette lighter.

Almost always have one in my car.

Then buy one of those small portable ones that plug into your cigarette lighter on the console and keep it in your vehicle. I got one of them when I came back to town after Katrina because flats were so common with all the debris on the ground back then.

That little compressor saved my butt plenty of times on the road between jobs when I picked up nails in my tires.

I went through a lot of plugs back then too.

I wonder wtf people are doing to break them.

The gas station near me recently got theirs all repaired. Then a month later it was broken again.

I can remember when gas stations had free air and water, and they worked well, with much higher pressure too. Now I pay for crap air pressure, if it’s working that is. I feel your pain.

My driver makes sure the tires are properly inflated at all times. If he doesn't, my head butler will fire him. I don't need to concern myself over such trivial matters.

Same, costs the same as ones that don't work.

I bought an expensive one (around $80-$100) and it stopped working ~ 1 year. Bought a cheap one next and the same thing happened

Pull into the diesel bays at any truckstop. Those same old school hoses with high pressure are in every bay. You'll get the evil eye from fat truckers but they'll be okay.

Here in St. Louis, you very rarely run across a pay air pump.

Also, the metal part makes a fantastic crack pipe, thus the reason they are always broken.
