Backing in is safer and easier if you’re a competent driver, but when impatient people are near it can be more challenging.

A vehicle will turn in a smaller radius when backing in with the steering tires to the rear, this makes it much easier for vehicles with longer wheelbases such as trucks to back into a parking space, it is why forklifts that must work in tight spaces use the rear wheels for steering.

Back in. It’s easier to hide that you are keying the full size truck of the numb nuts that is over their line.

I used to scoff at the backer inners until I got my f150 and then I realized how much easier it made life.

Always forward. Don’t agree with the safer backing in theory. When backing in, there’s usually something on both sides of you and behind you tight. Much better prefer backing out (slowly) in a big open space.

Significantly easier to back into a parking spot than back out of one.
This seems demonstrably untrue.

You either back in when you get there or back out when you leave but MUCH safer to back in when you get there cause you're already in the road and can see way better than when you're backing out.

work vehicles, we are required to back in because it is safer...I got in the habit and do it in my personal vehicles too now.
