Is a Stihl Chainsaw worth the money?

Needing to buy a new chainsaw this coming weekend cause my old one crapped out on me. This chainsaw will be mainly used for cleanup after storms and just simple log cutting for the fire pit. I have had great luck with other Stihl products in the past, just wanted input before I shelled out some green for a Stihl. Thanks

I've only had 1 chainsaw and it's a Stihl MS250 which has been a great saw. Had it for about 5 years now and it runs and cuts great. Only complaint is the kill switch keeps messing up, a wire comes loose and it wont kill. I have to choke it to kill it. It's happened a bunch of times and I keep bringing it back to fix it and it keeps happening still.

My Stihl is still working for 10 years. Every now and then it has to get a carb clean or something goes wrong with it, but it will last for a long time.

Yes, they’re worth the money. I’ve been handed down Stihl saws that I’ve passed on which are still running today. I’d buy another in a heartbeat.

Short answer....yes
Long answer....hell yes
I've only used and purchased the pro models, so idk about the homeowner and mid-grade units. The pro models are far and away better than any other brand

Love my stihl.
Bought a husquvarna from Lowe’s that was a piece of crap. There are some good ones out there but the box store ones aren’t.

I have a 391 and a 170. Both are about 10 years old with 7ish years of hard use for a mid grade saw. Both look like hell but start on about the 10th pull every time.

Husqvarna is ??! Once was a great saw but they are not what they used to be, they wanna make price point saws to sell at big box stores. Used to take pride in building the best saws but are now slaves to the big box buyers.
Echo on the other hand has revamped their saw lineup and there new products are great. It’s pretty impressive what they are doing.
Not very familiar with stihl at all. Ran a bunch of the Husqvarna & Echo products over the last 20+ years.

The Stihl Kombi pole saw is a great piece of gear, too.
