you serious Clark?
2017: 306 yards total offense
2016 & 2018 COMBINED: 321 yards total offense.

If I were to tell you about a school spending millions to fire its coach for going 9-3 but two years later declaring the move a success after continuing to get nine wins a year... Would you believe me?

was our roster good enough to beat UGA?
think before you answer that one too.
because if you say “yes”, then our roster is also good enough to be no worse than 11-1 (probably in playoffs) and Bama game should have been much closer than it was.
but if you say “no”, then that means it is entirely possible to coach your way past a talent deficiency, and your statement of “you have to have the roster” becomes false.
your move
UGA probably has a roster that is very close to our own roster and perhaps slightly better. The gap between Bama and everyone else is larger than most of us want to believe. They've beaten every team on their schedule by 20+ points. I wouldn't be shocked at all if they do the same to UGA.

so we DO have a roster that can compete for championships?

We have a roster that can compete for the SEC East championship
And that's all they're winning this year

Maybe, but still should not have lost to UF/TAMU. Despite it weaknesses, we should have been 11-1 and in the conversation for the playoffs.

Loss to Alabama: really, 29-0 by itself isn't a reflection of the game. Offensively we did move some, probably almost as good as last season's game. Couldn't finish any drives, but it was more than all 3-and-outs for us
Two drives of 20+ yards and 9 punts. They had 5 in 2017 with 8 punts. May be like being the skinniest kid at fat camp, but no way they moved the ball better this year than last.

their roster blew out Florida and Auburn
do you think their roster loses against A&M?
do you think their roster gets shut out by Bama?
will they get more than 12 rushing yards against Bama?

And was basically blown out by us. What's your point?
Bunch of goofy attempts at transitive applications, to push goofy narratives.

point is the season as a whole, not just “goofy arse transitive property applications”
outside of one game, they’ve had a much better season than we have.
we’ve played enough similar level opponents to be able to reasonably compare.
Florida, Auburn, and in a few days Alabama are common opponents.
Kentucky is at least comparable to A&M or State.
if our rosters are similar (as he suggests), why have they been more successful against roughly equal, if not identical, opponents.
last year they went into OT in national championship game.
this year theyll play a game in December for a chance to be in playoffs.
if they played our schedule, their record is likely still 11-1.
ours is 9-3.
if our rosters are similar, where does the difference come in?

They come in the reality that the results of football games do not always perfectly fit the narrative you want them to (or think they should) fit. Things can occur outside that, you realize? But if you find it fun hanging your hat on hypothetical absolutes, go nuts bro.

oh i’m very aware.
my posts are aimed at the people that refuse to admit there are any issues beyond talent.
when in reality, talent is only part of the equation.

I think they have a 0% chance of beating Bama
Which proves nothing other than there is a big gap between Bama and everyone else

People pick us to lose every year. So we overachieved in a lot of Miles' years too if you go off preseason predictions.
Not everyone picked LSU to beat Oregon and Bama in 2011, but that season is seen as a failure.

I think a lot of you are going to be surprised by how Georgia performs. I know it messes with your narrative. Now, I don't think they will win, but I hear a lot of LSU fans talking about shut out, etc.

I don't understand this. I suppose you could spin a Georgia win into (or out of) pretty much any narrative you wish. Which seems to me does nothing more than illustrate the inanity of being firmly entrenched into any one in particular.

I don't think it will be a shutout. But there is a reason there is a 13.5 spread in a game in which UGA will be highly motivated and has plenty to play for. Bama is just that much better than everyone other than Clemson

Man, you're a talented guy.
How many players on our offense would start for Texas A&M? I think likely zero, although there are a few toss ups. No guarantees. How many on defense? I think likely 5 or less.
