Sausage...Links or Patties?...

I awoke up early thinking of breakfast....I love sausage patties myself so that's the side I lean towards. What about you

I wont get mad if you put either one on my plate. Only thinkninhate is when you stop at Ghetto Convenience store a sausage biscuit and they put smoked sausage on it, I dont care for that.

Depends on the sausage and how I'm using them. For hot sausage sandwiches, I prefer patties. Same with Italian Sausage since I like to make red gravy with beef meatballs and also toss in some smaller meatballs made entirely of Italian Sausage, so in a skin doesn't work for me.

Now, for green onion and deer/jalapeno/cheese and several others, I prefer it in casings.

I make my own sausage and will case up some hot and Italian, but those are used when grilling and never for frying.

Especially when making the white gravy to put over biscuits. Being from N.O., I didn't see that until one day I took a trip to Dallas and left N.O. at 0-Dark Thirty and stopped in Shreveport to grab a bite to eat mid morning and ordered sausage and biscuits with white gravy. That shite was good.

Both have their places depending on usage....and of course personal preference. ~ I like andouille/smoked sausage in RB & rice etc. For sawmill gravy I like bulk crumbled. This morning I had....bacon!
