Cats are awesome. Sure, they might try to kill you on occasion...but that's no excuse not to like them.

Love em. Not very easy to find a super friendly one but they're out there, especially the orange ones. Or if they're reclusive it makes it that much sweeter when you finally win them over.
I also like the fact that they don't lose their absolute minds when people visit and start jumping all over visitors. I love dogs too but that shite is the worst.

We had 2 cats and 1 dog. 1 cat recently died of cancer. The dog us SUPER needy and the cats just really did their own thing and they never bothered anybody much. They kept mice out of the house and barn. I didn't have to walk them or take them to the park. I could leave them at home for 2 or 3 days with an automatic water thing and auto food container. They can sustain themselves for a long time alone. Dogs have to be boarded because they will inevitably get into something or frick something up. I like both of them but I like my border collie more.

My son brought home two kittens from college 3 years ago. He wanted us to watch them until he graduated. Sure. I knew it wouldn't work out that way. 3 years later and they are still here. And let me tell you... I love my cats. Nobody is taking my cats. I have been a dog person all my life, but don't touch my friggin cats.
My opinion is the same as that of my Aussie Shepherd: Our cat is ok, all others need to be decimated.
ETA: I really don't want cats decimated.

I like cats better than I do dogs and I wouldn’t depart with the two I have for anything in this world.

50% of cats are overweight loners. I would’ve thought more of the OT would relate.
But seriously, we have a cat who is pretty chill. My wife is a bigger fan than I am. This is our last full-time indoor cat, though. I prefer they spend some of their time outside.

I reluctantly agreed to let the household have a cat. Hated him at first but the little catbaw has grown on me. Dude is a stealth machine when hunting. He stays outside 95% of the time and plays with my Lab. Doesn't seem to be the typical a hole cat.

If you live in the country a cat is like another tool. Great for keeping up with rodents.

Usually stepping on them since they are under my damn feet. Or them pawing my face at 3 am. Only have the one though

Never liked cats my whole life. My girlfriend had a cat before we met and I was standoffish at first. But how I love that little fricker.
He can be a dick, but he's fun to have around.

Cats take care of themselves and are pretty damn entertaining. They're also great for pest control. Only problem is when they start tearing up your furniture.

Personally I love them. Always grew up with them and think theyre great. Fiance hates them with a passion though so I'll likely never own one

What is the OT position on cats? by Slippy
most of their owners/parents suck and the kids/cats I hate are a reflection of how they were raised and are not a reflection of the basic nature of the animal or thing
