What is the OT position on cats?

My son brought home two kittens from college 3 years ago. He wanted us to watch them until he graduated. Sure. I knew it wouldn't work out that way. 3 years later and they are still here. And let me tell you... I love my cats. Nobody is taking my cats. I have been a dog person all my life, but don't touch my friggin cats.

cats are the best
they clean themselves, you dont have to pick up their shite, they dont annoy the frick out of you with too much energy or try to take your food, they dont eat their own shite and they love you if you deserve it instead of just because youre alive

I don’t get the aversion to cats, or the whole dog people cat people thing, as if you can’t be both at the same time. Cats have their own distinct personalities. Some are cool, and yeah, some suck, but it’s not as it they’re all the same.

I've enjoyed having cats around. They are indeed unique. But I wont ever have an indoor cat again. The hassle and annoyance of cat litter alone has ruined that for me.
