that price is fairly standard for what you're getting.

Must be another charity fee.

How much was it last time?

Imperial Reserve (2015)- $20/bottle

Pretty sure you can get most of this still on the shelf at Calandro's. And they are only charging about $16/bottle.

Nothing like a nice little FU to the loyal Parish customers. I know it's popular to hate on Parish, but they make it so easy any time they release something new. They do make good beer, but they are really trying to price themselves out of the market.

And blah blah blah, i get it, people will buy it. I suck because i won't buy it. And yes i've bought more expensive beer before (albeit sours).

Last batch was $16 for 12oz bottles. So what are we looking at? 0.02 cents a ounce more for 16oz can? Not much of a difference.

Yeah I think, or hope, people are just missing the 16 oz part.

That is a little more palatable. I'll easily pay $16 for 4 bottles of good stuff.

That's a pretty big difference. If it was .02/bottle, sure. But not only are you packaging more, but you are increasing your price. So yeah, you get more, but are people really clamoring for 16 oz. cans as opposed to 12 oz.? Personally, i prefer 12 oz. because it will all pour into any glass i have. 16 oz., i have that extra few ounces left in the can. First world problems.

you might be the only one. I prefer having more beer. either 6 pack of 12 oz or 4 pack of 16 oz. I hate 4 packs of 12 oz.

I typically prefer 6 pack of 12 oz. 4 packs of 12 oz. usually mean that the brewery is looking for a way to increase the prices without making the cost differential appear that great. On the other hand, when you go from 12 to 16 oz. and you go from $16 to $23, you aren't really hiding the cost differential. And i get it, .02 or .03 per oz isn't that much more, and if it was still in 4 pack 12 oz'ers it would be $17.30, more likely $18/4 pack. It's slightly more palateable than $23/4 pack, even though $23 you are getting 16 more ounces.

There is just a thing with me, and it may be shared with others, that spending more than $20 on non-sour beer isn't worth it (and even for sour beer i rarely spend more than $18). Again, it could be just me, and if you want to spend it, that's your prerogative. I just won't pull the trigger on it. Now would i buy a couple single 16 oz. cans if it went to distribution and the stores separated the and sold them at $6/pop. Yeah. Just so i could try it. Again, i know it's the same price point per oz., it's just a mental thing for me.

Now as far as the "aged" reserve, that's just ridiculous.

No.

$16 12 oz, 48 oz beer = .33 cents/oz.
$23 16 oz, 64 oz beer = .36 cents/oz.
