Hey, I voted pro-Trump, pro-business. Having said that, if a significant portion of the electorate does not appreciate the economic gains we've experienced under this President then this country is destined to go over the cliff. It's really quite simple. You've got to generate jobs in order to create the tax flow to fund freebees (stuff like S/S, obamacare, foot stamps, etc).

The democrats are going to put a halt to economic expansion. They want DJT defeated in 2020. They'll gladly sacrifice the American worker (and the middle class) in order to defeat DJT. Remember this is an ideological battle. Country has veered sharply left towards Socialism. Botton line, if everyone is receiving some form of government assistance then who's paying for it?

The talking heads over at the Federal Reserve are telling us we've run out of options. I mean they can't go the QE route. Even former Fed Chairman Paul Volcker said recently,"we're in a hell of a mess'.

This sucka is going over the cliff.

Better than I felt last night, however it’s bothers me that Texas, Ga. and Fl. are so close to being blue states. Guess that’s what happens when people can vote themselves a paycheck.

Yes this is not going to happen.

This is the exact basis of my depression. We dodged a bullet now twice - '16 would have put us in an unrecoverable position to save America had it gone the other way.

This election proved that the electorate at large didn't realize the cliff we were on. They are taking the gains that Trump administration has produced as just natural happenstance unrelated to competence or principle.

They feel free to pursue the glittering emotion tar baby and just assume that all the goodness produced these past two years will just somehow continue.

Give this mentality ONE more chance of take the reins of government and every vestige of traditional American goodness and principle and morality will be snuffed out.

I have never been more ashamed of the American people as a whole as I am today.

Good outcome historically.

Bad outcome policy-wise

Great outcome politically for Trump and GOP in 2020.

Good. Retaking the House will provide a check on Trump. Senate was a pipe dream for Dems. Took over governorships in Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Will prevent gerrymandering and in MI they got rid of partisan redistricting and made it easer to register to vote.

Florida also allowed felons to vote. Will deliver the state to Dems in 2020. Felon voters would have switched the state to Gillum and Nelson.

Unchanged.
Pubs were expected to lose the House and did.
The pickups in the Senate were a pleasant surprise.
Mildly concerned about a runoff in the Georgia governor race but AP has Kemp at just over 50% so technically a runoff should not be in play.

Losing the house is a disaster for trump. More so the reason behind losing the house, college educated white women, +4 GOP in 2014 to +10 Dem in 2018 I blame Jeff sessions for creating a special counsel and his lack of investigating Obama admin. 2 year smear of trump admin and 2 year pass of Obama admin

Increasing the senate majority, whatever it turns out to be, gives me a major warm and fuzzy feeling.

No more having to coddle one 'Maverick' just to get a judge confirmed.

Put the bong down or send over some of that fire...

We’re talking about dim o crats.

Bank on two more years of “resistance” and skyscreamers.

The melt of all melts awaits us..

RBG replaced with a conservative.

It will be epic!

I'm mildly disapointed but it could have been a lot worse.

I'm hopeful that compromise legislation can still happen. Trump is not an ideologue. He will at least attempt to negotiate to get things done.

The minute they work with him on compromise, they immediately issue him more ammo/accomplishments for 2020. They'll never come to the table in fear of giving him new talking points.

obstructionist is a bold strategy right now.

I was too young to remember when you could tie in CFB but I imagine this is what it felt like the next day.

I feel about the same as I did last night except hung over instead of drunk.

It was pretty much a stalemate, sure the goofy Dems got the house but we gained in the senate which will protect us from any over the top nuttiness they try to pull.

Now we need to replace Ruth Ginsberg with Amy Barrett and I will definitely feel better about things

At a National level: I feel pretty good all things considered

At a State of Colorado level: time to leave!

i went to the lsu game. came home to find out the dems took the house. what in the holy hell happened.

i'm grateful that trump has been doing what i thought he would do, successfully fight the establishment.

but looking at msnbc's viewership ratings has reminded me that this country is still full of idiots.

last night was another reminder. this country is still full of idiots. trump has been kicking butt and taking names. the country is benefiting. yet, people are still voting for politicians who oppose what he is doing. it is utterly baffling.

texas is turning purple because of the lib invasion there. cortez, a proven halfwit socialist, won big. sign of the times.
