Many times he has stated his love for LSU. Hopefully he recognizes that he is holding LSU back because the game has passed him by.

There is no way O can fire him so the only way LSU can move forward is for E to voluntarily step down or retire.

Coach E thanks for trying, do the right thing.

Steve needs to step down or Alleva needs to step in and force his hand end of story. Coach O refuses to acknowledge the facts.

I'd like to see you do the same thing with your job. I'm sure you would forgo a salary, right?

To the contrary. Orgeron pushed the job on E and he has an obligation to fix it. This is not on Ensminger.

Depending on how the year plays out with him and what OC coaches are on the market, we may well see that happen. I suspect it will be a respectable demotion that both parties are happy with.

If he steps down, who calls the plays?

Sullivan’s old arse?

Cregg?

The shrimp boat captain himself?

Have always thought he was a quality TE coach and brought a lot of knowledge to the coaching staff. Doesn’t seem like he’d have a problem stepping down being that he didn’t want the job anyway.

We all know why Ensminger took the job. He felt a sense of duty to LSU. I don't think anyone thinks any less of him. He's been a great Tiger.

But yeah, I hope he steps down.

LSU needs to get the ball rolling behind the scenes on a replacement. According to Finebaum, Auburn is about to lock up Hugh Freeze.

I can think of a few other degenerates I'd rather have for OC.

I think you may be right that E took the job out of sense of duty. It was not fair to him or the program and Orgeron is to blame for it.
Let's just hope they don't find their next solution "right here under our noses/ he talks like us".
