The clincher in Warren's DNA, is that she wasn't compared to actual American Indians

Detecting DNA for Native Americans is particularly tricky because there is an absence of Native American DNA available for comparison. This is in part because Native American leaders have asked tribal members not to participate in genetic databases.
“The tribes have felt they have been exploited,” explained Lawrence Brody, a senior investigator with the Medical Genomics and Metabolic Genetics Branch at the National Institutes of Health. “The amount of genetic data that is available from Native Americans is sparse.”
To make up for the dearth of Native American DNA, Bustamante used samples from Mexico, Peru, and Colombia to stand in for Native American. That’s because scientists believe that the groups Americans refer to as Native American came to this land via the Bering Strait about 12,000 years ago and settled in what’s now America but also migrated further south. His report explained that the use of reference populations whose genetic material has been fully sequenced was designed “for maximal accuracy.”

Bustamante said he can tease out the markers that these South Americans would have in common with Native Americans on the North American continent.
Her heritage to Indians was so weak that the report had to "tease out the markers" from South Americans to even make a 1/1024 connection. You simply cannot make this stuff up anymore!

Warren is an imbecile that nuked her own campaign before it even left the launch pad.

I wonder why the tribes think that submitting dna for analysis is exploitation.

They don’t want anyone claiming to be a part of the tribe when they are clearly not. Even if they have similar blood lines. Though Elizabeth Waren doesn’t even have that.

Not only did she nuke her own campaign, she dropped a JDAM on Democrat congressional campaigns 3 wks before election day. Tons of negative Fox coverage that Democrats didnt need.

However this is going to pose the same problem for Lindsay Graham who plans to get a DNA test (though he's doing it to mock Warren).

More people that can prove Native American lineage is more ways to cut up that casino money pie?

Reminds me of hoity toity white people as late as 1900 claiming they are direct descendants of pilgrims. The Mayflower must have been a really huge ship.

I wish someone would run an ad showing 1023 $1 bills on a table. Then mix in a single $100 bill, and claim that the pile is now mostly $100 bills: According to Lieawatha

I saw a funny tweet earlier this morning but can't find it.
To summarize: "If Warren were cast as the role of Pocahontas in the live-action Disney movie and Disney was criticized for white-washing, would saying she's 1/1024 Native American be an acceptable response by Disney?"
The obvious answer is "no".

When Paragon Casino was built in Marksville, every person of color in Avoylles Parish claimed to be an Indian.

My repeated suggestion has been to put a clear glass jar out there filled with 1023 white M and Ms and one red one.

I was Unaware that South American indigenous people had kamakazi traits.
Thanks for the lesson Poseurhontas

Yep. Warren tried this to put a potential issue that may have plagued a presidential run to rest. Instead, she scuttled her candidacy.

So Forked Tongue Squaw has 1/1024 illegal heritage?
Matches Mexican, Peruvian, and Columbian DNA?
Can us Caucasians join the Cherokee and exclude her from our group?

The same reasons why they are very protective of their native languages. I can guarantee you that you will never see a Rosetta Stone for Cherokee or any other tribal group.
