Why not have a retro night in Tiger Stadium?

It was mentioned a while back how different Tiger Stadium was in the 70s and 80s. Some things have changed for the better, and we all know some for the worse. I admit that I am a bit nostalgic for the old days in TS, going to the games with my dad in the 80s. It was very different then, of course, we didn't have video replay or piped in music. It would be interesting to see the AD pick a rent-a-win game to serve as a throwback night in Tiger Stadium. Some ideas include:
- Cheap concessions (70s/80s era pricing)
- No piped in music (all band)
- No replay or video screens - AT ALL.
- Use video screen to emulate the old scoreboard, with text updates and all.
- LED ribbons - OFF
- Greatly reduced ticket price, even for season ticket holders
- No excessive commercials or announcements
- Open parking on campus (within reason, of course)
One night only, for a game that barely half the stadium would normally attend. If anything, the interest in seeing something like this may actually increase attendance.

I love it, but that would never happen.

You mean can all the sponsored stuff? Joe aint giving that money back, not even for 1 game.

Let's have a throwback season to 2003 where we invite Nick Saban back to coach and we win the national championship.

Here’s hoping Nick doesn’t give us a 1993 Spurrier throwback when he’s in town next.

I love it!!!!!
Why isn’t LSU coming up with ideas like this?????
IMO that person can be fired right along with Alleva

it would be cool if they painted the field how they did back then as well

While not all of those ideas are likely to be implemented, there are some great ideas there and it would be cool to see.

Joe Alleva is a whore. He will shove as much advertising in your face as he can find spots to put it. He will charge you the absolute highest he can while still thinking people will pay the prices. He doesn't give a single shite about any LSU fans. He is a cancer for LSU and he is killing what we all love. At this point I would prefer him to leave LSU more than I would prefer Nick Saban to leave Alabama.
ETA: I would love all of your suggestions.

No fireworks when the team comes on the field and let Mike make his rounds in his cage... Damn pyro show screwed Mike VI up... Id much rather him be on the field than fireworks

That's a lot of revenue LSU can't afford to lose. F King said LSU is poor and only has money to give me raises.

Not going to happen for sure.
Also, the time on the scoreboard was out vs ole miss so there was that part.

This would be great but not much of this will happen. You will have to be satisfied with the 1958 style helmets we wore last week.

Your suggestions are all great ideas, which pretty much guarantees LSU will never try them.
