When I had half days in high school, some friends and I would go there and wreck shop. Good times.

its a huge bummer.

I like In the area and Lager’s is probably my favorite bar for the combo of beer selection, convenience and the buffalo wings.

I am Hoping they take over the old Craxy Johnny’s location. Even closer to my house.

We really need them to open back up somewhere or someone else to do it.
Metairie stinks in regards I beer bars or even any nice bars in general.

Only spot I can think of would be the old closed Burger King on Metairie Rd. and Focis. Unless they would build new further down Met. Rd.

I noticed this afternoon that the daiquiri shop across the street from Lager's has been torn down and pilings were being driven for some other construction on that site.

Did anything ever open in the old Barrecca's on Metairie Road? Haven't driven past it lately.

Not really. They tore down the building next to their parking lot and it has been sitting stagnant with no activity that I see.

Can not smoke cigars inside Winston's any longer. I have not been back. Not that I go out a lot, I do not really drink. But Tinder Box used to have events in Winston's and a bunch of us would go.

They still have that silhouette of Winston Churchill with a cigar in his mouth as their logo. But one has to sit outside.
