The Left is too dumb to realize they screwed up the Brett Kavanaugh situation

When Brett Kavanaugh was nominated a large part of conservatives were leery of the pick.. thinking he was going to eventually mold into a centrist or a Kennedy clone. The Left came out and hammered the guy.. murdering his character and reputation. The way they’ve acted the last few weeks leaves little doubt in Brett Kavanaugh’s mind in who he should align himself with. Conservatives have rallied around Kavanaugh and fought back against the madness of the Left. He’s not going to want to give a shred of effort to ever help the causes of the Left. Instead of trying to sway him the Left went full on meltdown mode to try to destroy him. It’s all for nothing because Brett Kavanaugh will be confirmed anyways.

Thanks for the rock sold 5-4 Supreme Court, stupid.

ETA: On TOP of that it woke up the conservative Supreme Court voting sleeping giant for the midterms. Conservatives are going to come out and vote now because they see the games the Left will play to block nominees from the Court.

I agree that the left galvanized the resolve of Conservatives by their lunacy but if Kav is held the man he aeems to be, he won't let that influence his decisions on the bench.

Exactly. I thought he was just an establishment pick but now that they went after him like they did Clarence Thomas I think I may have underrated Kavanaugh.

Most folks I know were definitely leery of him, due to his association with Bush.

I agree. But being a strict Constitutionalist is enough.

Where the Democrats likely shot themselves in the foot is the midterms.

I don't wanta monolithic SCOTUS. I want a SCOTUS that sticks to the Constitution whether it's convenient or not.

Yeah he seems like someone who will call balls and strikes straight up.

Which is what you really want.

I didn't really believe Ford, but I was willing to give her a chance to tell her story. For me, everything changed when the accusations that he was orchestrating trains on drugged women and gang rapes. That's when it became theater of the absurd.

No way that is going to happen.

He might even be more conservative than Gorsuch.

I get and understand the thought, but I think Kav is above politics and will still vote as he interprets the law. I don't think he foregoes his interpretation of law in order to not support a political side.

Upvoted because of your ETA.

The first part is really what I've been thinking all along. And naturally the SCJ seat, well, it just doesn't really get much bigger or more significant than that for the long run.

But the ETA is the really sweet, frosted icing on the cake. The liberal tears from the midterm elections may just sustain me for years.

Why not?? The influence that is hoped for is the influence of adhering to the Constitution.

Sorry, but I think it would be best if the man votes based upon the facts and the Constitution rather than his feelings about the Left or Right.

Then they went a step further and said they would impeach him once they got control again.

Every SCOTUS judge should have perked up at that and said something. If he isn't safe, the rest of you sure as hell aren't. Only takes a few chans or George Soros to find info on a sitting justice and make a stink.
