I am guessing the rest of the story is the customer was being a dumb rude abnoxious bitch while placing the order and said something along the lines of, “Do you speak English?”

So when she got around to the side of the building the manager said to go somewhere else because she doesn’t speak English.
That's certainly possible, but if you have any understanding of the Hialeah area, it's equally as possible that no one in the store spoke English.

It’s not that hard to understand “ Number 5, no tomatoes, with a large Mountain Dew.”

I’ve been to plenty of places in Mexico and done just fine without speaking a lick of Spanish.

That’s straight bullcrap because i have been in the same situation.

Left the Miami airport and stopped at a gas station and the clerk stated she only spoke Spanish.

I pointed at my drink, held up money, and pointed at the register display and she proceeded to say she did not speak English in Spanish.

I finally got aggravated and laid a few dollars down on the counter and walked out.

She called the police and spoke English pretty dang well. Nothing much happened because i actually paid for the drink and the officer told her that she was being a bigot and should serve all customers and stop saying she didn’t speak English when the call takers at dispatch would beg to differ.

I was pretty amazed at the whole incident

Ever been to California?

South Park’s “Goobacks” episode depicted it fairly accurately. No matter what Stan said, the Gooback employee and manager would ask if he meant “chicken sandwich”.

Plenty of folks in Hialeah don't really take too kindly to those who don't speak English.

If this happened to me, I'd have to laugh, "are you serious", and then just leave.

The fact that this makes news and that the customer reacted that way just further proves this is a horribly over the top attention seeking society.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious from the video that they're fricking with the customer.

That drive through employee could clearly understand what the customer was saying.

Was there no one around with an iPhone? "Siri convert this into Spanish. "May I help you?". Customer: "siri convert this into English (but says it in Spanish). Yes I would like 18 soft tacos........".

The fact that this is on a news site here in America is baffling to me

I guess it's just as baffling to me that you can make a comment on this story after not reading that the woman said in Spanish that she knew exactly what the lady was saying but did not want to take her order.

There are many enclaves throughout the United States that are dominated by a certain culture and they purposely drive out those that are not a part of it. This is a cancer on our country and it is amazing they they are not called out by liberals. Miami and surrounding wants to be it's own Hispanic country. There are Muslim enclaves in Michigan that do not welcome English speaking people either. Never hear much about that, where are the diversity and inclusive police at?

Agreed, I’m sure speaking English wasn’t the only reason she was turned away.
