I guess I have to ask.....

If I walk into a restaurant in Italy...and nobody in the restaurant can understand me...wouldn't they not serve me?

The fact that this is on a news site here in America is baffling to me.

Do the Mexican menu items at the Hialeah Taco Bell have such wildly different names "in Spanish" such that the employees could in no way figure out what she was ordering?

If you walked into a restaurant in Italy and spoke Italian, and nobody in the restaurant in Italy spoke Italian, wouldn't you be a bit confused?

I'm sure they spoke some English, they just didn't want to serve this woman for whatever reason

I am guessing the rest of the story is the customer was being a dumb rude abnoxious bitch while placing the order and said something along the lines of, “Do you speak English?”

So when she got around to the side of the building the manager said to go somewhere else because she doesn’t speak English.
