According to the Fox News headline..

My question is will these dumbasses be billed for the cost of their rescue? They should be since they’ve been told to gtfo for a solid week now.

Exactly. No way I'd risk someone else's life due to another's stupidity.

I’m just thinking that if there was a minimum 1000 dollar fine per person rescued after an evacuation order was given, people might be more inclined to pack their shite and leave. Why should the tax payer foot the bill because these idiots refuse to follow directions?

Usually they are charged w a crime and fined, unless the PR machine ramps up and the spineless govt officials cave.

Then the taxpayer foots the bill...again.

Additionally, if an emergency responder dies trying to rescue them, they should be charged w manslaughter.

Don't get me wrong. I feel bad for those people that made terrible decisions but another person should not die in the process.

Theyve been clear that no rescues will happen until the wind dies down. That's going to be a while.

Like the Governor of Puerto Rico said, "They don't deserve to have their pain questioned."

It's so they claim assistance, say the govt abandoned them, etc.

That’s not true either. According to the same network, water rescues are already underway. They should fine everyone single person they rescue before they put them in the boat. Don’t want to pay the fine? Stay on your rooftop.

Can you imagine the SJWs if a state or municipality tried to pass that law?

We already can't have voter ID laws because minorities can't go get a free state issued photo ID. Imagine threatening a poor person with a $1000 fine when they have no way to evacuate. You want to have these poor people forced to walk for miles carrying all of their important possessions to avoid a fine that they can't afford?

Ok no fine. Jail time. Free meals and a dry bed. Seems fair.
