my dog won't really go near the bathroom after i bathed him the tub one time

That's a show of dominance. You need to whip him with the toys to regain your alpha status.

My dog lays on the bath mat on the ground outside my shower if I'm the only one home. If my wife is home, he just shadows her instead of me.

One of mine used to jump in the bathtub with me

My Border Collie comes in and sits on the tile floor while I take my morning constitutional. Then, she leaves and the Aussie comes in while I shower.
ETA: I shut the door, but the BC has figured out how to open it.

during daylight? frick no.
There's slight possibility a squirrel or bird may frick up and fly/run thru our yard. priorities.
at night? yep.
She follows me into the master bedroom and lies in the doorway between the master bath and bedroom until told otherwise.

my dogs do that but while I'm taking a dump, not showering. and they come up right next to the toilet if i don't lock the bathroom door. they have velociraptor-like skills in opening unlocked doors with lever handles.

my dog(s) will sit in the bathroom while I shower. I really appreciate them letting the warm air out of the shower room on cold days.

Our dog sits by the shower sometimes when my wife is showering. Just sits and waits. He really likes baths, so we thought that was why.

Mine sleeps on the bathroom floor while I shower. He likes sleeping on the cold tiles.
The cats sit in the sinks while I shower too so I always have a big audience.
I would lock the cats out, but we have a barn door on the bathroom and the little frickers learned how to open it

My boxer will stick his head in the shower and try to drink every drop of water he can

If I don't pay attention both of my labs will jump into the shower.

Our golden will follow me wherever I go, so he lays down outside the shower
If a truck goes by or a bird chirps too loudly (he's a giant wuss) he'll come in the shower and sit down and I have to kick him out. He hates water (indicative of how scared he has to be), least golden-y golden ever.

When I pick up my little Silky female and walk towards the bathroom she starts doing the doggy paddle in the air.
It's too cute. She thinks it's bathtub time.

They don't bring their toys, but both of them lay in the hall, right by the door, waiting for me to finish.
Does anyone's dog have a specific toy they will hide and every now and then they will go get it and sometimes want you to play with them, with it, then all of a sudden they go hide it somewhere else?

Ours gather outside the shower door to drink any water that makes is way out the door. They have plenty of water, but like shower water better.
