The case is going for arbitration sometime in the next week or so. Eddie Bonine mentioned that on WWL last night. His words also made me think that something might come of the arbitration. But we will see.

His parent(s) did on his behalf...... every other kids whose parent(s) broke the same rules, suffered the same fate.

IF the parents don't pay the rent - the kids still get evicted with the parents.

The parent is legally responsible 99.99999 % of kids ruled ineligible for reasons other than academic or discipline - did nothing wrong... that's as tired of an argument as "new orleans athletes are too spread out, because of too many schools....

They currently have 999 transfer cases pending. In a association that has roughly 400 schools.

Dang that's it? Seemed like every year our football program had at least 5 guys leave and 5 new guys show up.

so that makes it okay for this kid to suffer his fate?????

i believe all the seniors who played last week should have did some kind of silent protest before their games for him, especially Chalmette and Holy Cross as Coach Salt was doing the commentary for that game

If that's the punishment don't break the rules....

dude... it's not like his parent(s) didn't know the rules......

what about every other kid that is ineligible because of his parents.... get with the principals you know get them to change the rule..... they have been very reluctant to change the rule...

if this kid was going from Hahnville or chalmette to JC.. you'd be singing a different tune.

and it's not like just one rule was broken...

where were you and krtistian garic last year for the southern lab kids or the ehret kid......

silent....

There are 6 rule violations out right now
1 Can't enroll at a school for athletics only
2 No bana fide move
3 wore Hanhville jersey while still at VCH
4 contacted coach salt while still at VCH
5 played 7 on 7 while still at VCH
6 falseafide info on transfer papers

If the Dad would of done what he was supposed to do. His kid would be playing(as he should) Dad needed to withdraw Andrew from Vandebilt on May 30 not at the end of July(key date). Coach salt should not have given the jersey to the player for Andrew to wear. and told dad when he called him that he needed to talk to administrators. ( it's illegal to talk to coach until admin. Is contacted.) Dad should of moved out of their house in Houma. Don't lie on the transfer paperwork that you the assistant Basketball coach. If all these things were taken care if by the dad then I believe the LHSAA would of turned their head to the Jersey rule. But they didn't take care of the little things.

Yeah, this will probably be a case where he gets some leniency due to the media on his side. The many other kids that got the same punishment had no such public sway. If we want to let all kids transfer, back a rule that says that.

And then stop whining about recruiting.

Bonine said last night that there were inaccuracies in the transfer paperwork.
Robison said place of employment was Asst Basketball Coach at Hahnville.

LHSAA asked Mr Lamar if Robison's was ever promised a job at Hahnville. Mr Lamar "laugh and said that was beyond him. He never talkd to Mr Robison about a basketball job.
Riverparishfootball.com video and transcript says plenty about this case. On may 27

just ask (cdetillier)Coley Detillier or go look him up on Facebook. Even friends with the Robisons on FB. Enough said. Son plays football for VC, daughter is cheerleader at VC. He knows it all. maybe a bit bias? Did you see the paperwork of the investigation? No you didn't so you don't know jack. I advice everyone to seek he information for yourself into what was done and not just some VC dad who wants you to believe their side of the story to protect their school and coach. Funny they bring up the May 27 video. Obviously the parents along with Andrew wanted to take the high road at first and leave without any more issues and of course not say anything bad or what happened at VC involving Atwell or the principal in the month of May. I suggest everyone find out on their own what happened. Ask about the deal that the VC principal was trying to make to get Andrew back at the school.

Funny how the LHSAA investigators also left out all the problems that occurred at the end of May between Andrew and VC after they found out he was leaving for HHS. It was all left out of the investigation papers according to witness that were standing right there during the questioning at the school.

Hopefully and I cant wait that we get to see the investigation papers for everyone to see. The ones who have seen them are in shock of how the LHSAA came up with the ruling that they did.

Have a great day Tiger Fans

How would you punish a parent in such a case? Only thing I can think of would be a fine. I bet there are legal reasons that can't be done. You take away the ineligibility for violations like this and you'll have kids switching schools not only between grades, but hell, between sport seasons!

no problem with that... that will foster competition. Kids don't switch high schools. Parents and guardians switch them

Did anyone hear the Bonine interview? He sounded less educated and harder to understand than Bobby, Garic, and hell, throw Deke in there for good measure. Maybe he's just not used to doing interviews, but he sounded bad.

I too was less than impressed with Bonine. At the beginning, Garic started asking about general rules and principles, and without prompting, Bonine shifted to the Robison situation specifically. Garic said something along the lines of being told he could not ask about specifics of the Robison deal since it was going to arbitration, and Bonine seemed unaware that anything was off-limits. Garic got the drift and eventually started asking questions about the case, which Bonine generally did not avoid.

Bonine also said he could have made the suspension go away via hardship or other procedures, had they gone that route, but once the Robisons appealed, his hands were basically tied. If that's the case then the LHSAA is a bigger trap for the unweary than the tax code.

He also said arbitration could be done in 2 weeks, but the Robison's attorney who was on later in the show said best case would be at least a month, due to built-in time steps and time periods between each step. Arbitration would be handled via the American Arbitration Assn.

Par for the course for an organization that was prepared to strip Mondo Duplantis of his eligibility.

That parent choice thing is exactly what most schools voting for the split are afraid of....

the infractions were mention last night on 870 and HTV. They are fact. I wish Andrew would be free to play. But Blaming anyone but the Dad is ridiculous. If the dad would of did his due diligence Andrew would never been ineligible.
I hope that Lhsaa gets it right and he could play. But if not, the only person to blame is the Dad Yes my kids go to VCH and he had to sit out a year, but this is not about my kids. i did the proper paperwork and didn't falsify anything.
