Who is the richest person you know and what do they do?

By know I mean personally know. The people that you are friends with or talk to every now and then. Excluding people that inherited a lot of money. Self-made. Like Doctors, lawyers, business owners, etc.

$250,000 annually. And they literally do nothing. Born into a wealthy family and receive a paycheck. That simple.
Most of the rich people I know are heirs who were grandfathered into the family business. All of the rich people I know make their living off the fruits of other people's labor.

one buddy's dad is a billionaire restauranteur. probably pulls a good 20+mil/year

Some cousins, the dad started a medical technology company in the early seventies and now the kids and/or spouses all work there in some capacity. If you work in the medical field it's nearly a certainty that you use their products. I dont know their net worth but its enough for everybody to have a baller lifestyle. I dont envy them though. Of four kids, one turned out relatively normal. The others have multiple divorces and in one case a serious drug addiction.

He is the VP of one of the largest electrical engineering firms in the world. They build cellphone tower grids globally.
His partner is an orthodontist and restaurateur. He owns several prominent restaurants in Philly and Miami.
Together they own 8 homes all over the world.
They routinely fly to Europe to have dinner on a weekend.
They ballin’ and both 100% self made.
