Netflix has set Friday, September 14 for the premiere of Norm Macdonald Has A Show, a new talk show fronted by comedian and ex-SNLer Macdonald along with his sidekick Adam Eget.

Celebrity guests for the 10-episode first season also were announced. They include Drew Barrymore, David Spade, Judge Judy, David Letterman, Jane Fonda, Chevy Chase, M. Night Shyamalan, Michael Keaton, Billy Joe Shaver and Lorne Michaels.

The Letterman, Chevy Chase, and Lorne Michaels episodes should be great.

Billy Joe Shaver could be pretty damned good too.

He deleted it. Somebody would have had to archive or screenshot it.

Norm trolling Hannah Gadsby fans for their "she's the future of comedy" shite was gold.

I just hope they have a real camera man and a real set producer for this show instead of that abomination that was his YouTube show, from a production standpoint.

I know Norm greatly admires Tom Snider, so why wouldn't he just emulate that format to the T. Two chairs , no audience and just talk. He can even have Eget on the side

Wonder if politics will be discussed. Isn't Norm center to right of center? There's some hardcore leftists on that list.

Norm is the one celebrity that can get away with it given his continuous career suicide by giving the middle finger to executives. He’s got a ton of respect in the comedic community for this and it’s the only reason he keeps on getting gigs.

It’s a fricking travesty that Colbert got the Late Show over Norm. Norm was Letterman’s personal choice for his successor, but the executives said “no fricking way”. It’s obvious even from the mid-90s that Letterman was grooming Norm to be his successor, but Norm has burnt way too many executive bridges for him to get that chance. I’m glad Netflix is throwing him a bone, because Norm is a great interviewer and bring in nothing but Grade A guests.

He's had far left people on his old show before: ie Sara Silverman and I believe Margaret Cho. Yes, both are comedians, but I think he engages with them to try to understand them.

He also semi trolls them when you can obviously tell he thinks their view is lunacy.

The Fonda thing will be great because she's old Hollywood and he will ask her about that but also troll her for the Hanoi Jane stuff.

I read every one of those in Norm's voice. He types in the cadence he speaks in.

Sarah and Norm have been very close for years. Norm has had a basic life long crush on her, but Sarah has friendzoned him since the early 90s. I’d be shocked if she didn’t go on his program at some point, at least if it isn’t cancelled before then.

Spot on.

Late night would be so much better with Norm in there. One of the funniest guys alive today. If anyone hasn't seen Norm hosting the youtube red carpet show, do yourself a favor and watch it. LINK

They'll probably look at it as a badge of honor surviving Norm...
