Corporations are getting less ethical, according to a 45 percent plurality of Americans. Just a quarter of Americans say they’ve become more ethical in recent years. This is one of the findings from a new Morning Consult report looking at what consumers want from brands when it comes to key ethical and political matters. In addition to larger trends, 6,600 consumers were asked to think of a company that is ethical and name the first one that came to mind.

In other words, an inaccurate list of ethical companies.

You can't list the top five?
Or at least a couple...

Or even just one???

I'm pretty sure this is actually just a list of the 10 most known brands. There's no way consumers actually believe Target or Wal-Mart are ethical. Wal-Mart is one of the most hated companies in America that's not an Internet Service Provider or a Cable company.

Not saying this list is completely false, but in a country with 350+ million people, 6,600 people's opinions don't mean much.

Wal-Mart is number 1? I thought everyone complained about how little they pay and shite like making employees work just enough hours to not be considered full time.

The only legit one on that list is chick-fil-a IMO.

Costco, Apple and Chick-Fil-A belong there....but Wal-Mart and Amazon especially are absolutely 2 of the most unethical companies at least with regards to their employees today.

I think this list probably has more to do with customer service than ethics. They could rename it '10 companies that do the best job of making you feel like they give a shite'.

Probably so. The first thing that came to my mind was Walmart, then I realized how ludicrous that is

Walmart number one?

They exploit their workers.

They pay low wages and taxpayers subsidize their low wages.

Most of what they sell is garbage.

Lots of "Made in China"

I hate Walmart, which is probably no secret here.
