When you turned 21, or 18 in my case...

Do you remember where you bought your first legal beer, and was glad to show an ID...?
Mine was at the Time Saver on Vets and Green Acres..
That was 36 years ago...
However there was a store on Causeway called Foodway, Waloo's now, that would sell beer to anyone.. It was our go to spot for beer before 18..

I actually don’t.
Probably a grocery store around LSU but I don’t remember for sure.

I bought some Zima and jolly ranchers. Had a great time.

I wasn't carded for like 3 weeks after turning 21. Perhaps my eagerness and ID being out was a dead give away.

It was so disappointing. I ordered a drink at lunch that day and didn't even get carded.
This year is the first time I've noticed not getting carded when checking out with wine... but it doesn't bother me.

QuikSilver in Mandeville. Except I had been going there with a fake ID for so long that they didn’t even card me. I pulled the license out and showed the lady anyway.
January birthday. I was extremely popular for a couple of months amongst my classmates.

I bought my first legal beer at a gas station on the corner of my house. My birthday was on a Wednesday, so I didn’t party until the weekend. I was broke, so I bought a six pack of PBR to have with my ramen noodle dinner.
Frank Wilson was there that day.

At a local bar I’d been drinking at since I turned18. When I did turn 21, I remember the owner looking kind of shocked and a little puzzled when he realized he’d been serving a minor.

no clue, we had fake IDs since the start of our junior year of hs and rarely had to use them except to get into this one popular club downtown, back then the age was 18 and wasn't strictly enforced anyway

I was 18 and had a nice beard. I could buy at a few places back around '05/06 timeframe - highschool.
One lady that always sold to me was convinced I was good friends with her son, which i didn't even know the kid (Knew of him, but he was older), and it was hilarious. Nice lady, but was very surprised because I live in a smaller town where everyone knows everyone .
On 21st Birthday I was already Married, so I went and bought a 6 pack at midnight and drank it on the fouton couch with wife.

I bought my first beer from a liquor store owned by a guy who was a member of the country club I worked at. The owner /member happened to be working that day, not sure why, but he recognized me and gave me a free 6 pack

Was the start of the spring semester. Went to the store to by a bottle for a pre-game. Never really cared to buy alcohol since i didn't really start drinking until my junior year.
