Trump's ridiculous military parade now set to cost $92M -- UPDATE: Delayed until 2019

Horrible idea and a waste of money. Not to mention fricking the service members and their families out of a holiday weekend.
Because don't think this will just be a "show up on parade day, march for an hour and done."
These troops will be working long nights for several weeks practicing, getting equipment ready, etc.

I actually like the parade. I like the idea of publicly celebrating our martial values.
It’s a small thing, but this is why people have parades to celebrate endangered tree frogs, or whatever their parochial issue might be.
It’s a way to project your values, and shape the culture.
