This always freaked me out. We had a couple of dudes that did this while someone with the curry shits was destroying the stall behind them. Seems like a good way to permanently seal the smell in there.

My sympathy is with the truck stop workers - US keeps giving work visas to foreigners to be truckers and those bathrooms have been taking a beating to the point that they now have pictures on the stalls to put tp in the toilet and not on the ground around the toilet. Friggin nasty.

I have a colleague who always walks out of his office at 10:15 with the WSJ in his hands. Comes back 20 minutes later. You could set your watch to it. He has no shame/self-awareness.

When you take a shite in your office setting

Everyone knows it is proper office etiquette to yell out, "Release the Kraken" when taking a dump...at least, that's what I do.

That way people will be forewarned.

As for this case...announcing over the office PA the name of the person and that, in the interest of public health, people should be aware that he may have residual e-coli on his hands because he doesn't wash after taking a deuce, is the proper response.

Took a vacation to Gatlinburg last month. On the way home, we stopped by Ruby Falls. During the tour, the guide told us to not touch the water as it may mess with the chemistry. Well, the Indians (dots not feathers) on the tour were basically washing themselves in the forbidden cave water. I'm talking taking handfuls and washing their faces, splashing on their necks, dunking their kids heads in it. It was odd.

I read this while in a meeting and almost embarrassed myself. Had tears rolling down my face bc I couldn’t stop laughing. Miracle that I held it in

The fryer sanitizes things, so this just seems petty.

When I was working for a bank, I had a meeting at our home office. I went into the bathroom and coming from one of the stalls was the sounds of the worst shite I've ever heard.

The shite hitting the water sounded like the guy was pouring a pot of gumbo into the toilet from shoulder height.

*groaning, splash, splash, plop, plop, splash, plop, groan*

I'm having a hard time pissing because I'm so distracted by the sound of this poor soul shitting his guts out.

I finally get my piss out, and I'm washing my hands, when the CFO of the company comes out of the stall. We lock eyes for a moment, and he hurries out of the bathroom without washing his hands.

After that I always avoided shaking the man's hand.

Calling out a buddy and calling out a generic coworker are two different things. You didn't say he was a buddy in the OP. Thanks for clearing it up.

Was in the bathroom after this dude took a massive explosive diarrhea shite and he walked straight out without washing his hands. we work on the same team so I asked him wtf and he says oh I used sanitizer.

Sanitizer doesn't remove the possible poo splashes on his hands.

From here on out you should not shake hands with him and make sure to refer to him as something like "Ol Poo Hands" in every social setting where he's present (even meetings, especially meetings). He'll eventually be shamed into changing his habits and you'll earn not only the respect of your co-workers for being willing to take on such a delicate task but you'll also earn the thanks of the entire company for your straight-forward health conscious attitude. You may even get an award.

I'm all for confronting people who don't wash their hands, but if you wash your hands and then touch the door handle, you're hands are no longer clean. Every door handle in this country has feces on it.

The worst is the guy who knows he never washes. But if someone else is in there around the partition and out of view, he'll run the water for like 2-3 seconds only to make as if he washed, but still leaves unwashed. What is wrong with these people?
