What about all of the blowhard, loudmouth liberals expelling all of their hot air.

Is it really that big of a deal to simply ask for a straw? At the end of the day, the restaurant decreases their waste output while saving a little money and the people who want straws get straws. Sounds like a win-win.

Some of the shite that ruffles peoples' feathers astounds me.

I’m guessing you all haven’t seen that pic going around of the little sea turtle with a cocktail straw in his nose?

It actually sounds like a money saving effort by the owner. That is capitalism.

It will be a cold day in hell before I quit using straws.

Also, the paper ones suck.

If you're the kind of person who literally can't go without a straw for some weird reason, then by all means request one. But why do people get all bothered over someone else trying to do a little good and not using one?

I could easily go without a straw, but if I can piss some SJW off in the process of using a straw, I'm going to do it.

I will 100% request. I would loved to be judged for my use of a straw.

This. And if a waiter makes a crack, no tip.

I think I would keep asking for a straw until she gave it to me. At the end of the meal, leave ~$0.07 (this pisses waiters off more than leaving nothing, BTW) for a tip, roll it up nice and tight, then put it inside the straw.

As much of a tree hugger I am, unless I can visibly see them wash my glass, I’m using a straw.

I would definitely prefer a straw for exactly what you are referring to. I worked in restaurants and saw what that water looks like until they changed it, if they changed it.

Being a onetime waitress has ruined many a meal for me. I’m now picky AF.

I tend to agree. I scrutinize everything from the moment I walk in to the moment I leave.

Yeah that's the problem. That glass has to be clean.
