If you use a straw, you are destroying the environment

Im at a restaurant eating lunch and they are no longer offering straws unless requested.
In other words, Im going to make you feel bad if you ask for a straw. You the paying customer are disgusting, vile, piece of shite.

Bet they still use plastic forks and knives for their carry out orders instead of giving you real silverware. This is a cost savings measure for restaurants disguised as an environmental pitch. I guarantee they won’t be giving out Yeti type steel straws that they can keep and clean.

I can't back this up with facts but supposedly the "environmentalist" say that straws are too light to be recycled (i.e. they get lost in the shuffle) so they go to a dump were they do not decompose for ~500 years unlike the plastic utensils.

Just got back from Jamaica. The resort we stayed at did this. No straw unless you ask.

A lot of straws that look like plastic are actually treated paper. I wonder if those guys realize that they can paper? Or are they just cheap?
