Definitely go to the Whitsundays, particularly Whitehaven beach if you have the chance. It even has a good taste of the reef

It’s not bad since you’re just following other people. The worst part about driving in Australia are the roundabouts and getting the windshield wipers mixed up with the blinkers.
Me reading through pages of men with dad bods insulting my figure

Y'all are asking a lot of a woman for a bunch of middle-aged men with dad bods
In Sydney, I'd definitely recommend just walking around downtown/the rocks one night, and I wouldn't feel the pressure to eat at any of the expensive places on the harbor- they're overrated. Definitely do the Coogee to Bondi coastal walk - there's a lot of cool places outside of downtown. Hunter valley and the blue mountains are both nice too. Royal National Park is less than an hour drive from Sydney; its lesser known than the other two, but I liked it more.

The Whitsundays was going to be my other recommendation. I stayed in Airlie beach. But taking a boat to Whitehaven beach was my favorite part of Australia. I'd post a picture but that's a pain on here

I lived over in Sydney the first half of this year, but never did make it to Brisbane. Let me know if you need recommendations for Sydney or places near the Great Barrier Reef

But you're still drinking the same drink as them. Or Don't drink after other people?
If you're the kind of person who literally can't go without a straw for some weird reason, then by all means request one. But why do people get all bothered over someone else trying to do a little good and not using one?

Damn, a lot of yall have been to Australia. Was it worth the long flight?

For sure, lived in Sydney for about four months and traveled the East Coast and New Zealand this year

Starbucks to Ban Plastic Straws

Starbucks: Goodbye Plastic Straws

quote:

Starbucks announced on Monday it plans to eliminate plastic straws from its 28,000 stores worldwide by 2020. The company will broaden the manufacture and use of what some in social media have dubbed the "adult sippy cup." It's a plastic strawless lid that will come to replace single-use plastic straws that now inundate its coffee shops. The company says the move, when fully implemented, could mean a billion fewer plastic straws across its stores each year. And it's a part of Starbucks' $10 million investment in creating recyclable and compostable cups around the world.

The strawless lid has already been in use at many of the company's stores for certain kinds of cold drinks like cold foam and "draft nitro," the coffee drink that comes out of a keg, mixed with nitrogen. Unlike straws, the new lid can be recycled, the company said.

"For our partners and customers, this is a significant milestone to achieve our global aspiration of sustainable coffee, served to our customers in more sustainable ways," Kevin Johnson, president and chief executive officer for Starbucks, said in a statement.

Starbucks' headquarters are in Seattle, where a ban on plastic straws just kicked in.

Other chains are also experimenting with getting rid of straws. In June, McDonald's announced it would start phasing out plastic straws at about 1,300 restaurants in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Sorry, just wanted to see people rage about straws some more after that Seattle post
shite Where did I just live for five months
Not really necessary to spend $400 on coffee, but if you are, buy an espresso machine.

Did she not demonstrate poor judgment? It is never okay to rape someone, everybody gets this.

When I see rape stories, I don't initially question what the victim was doing. If your daughter was raped, I don't think you'd start by interrogating her.
Love how half of these comments start with "it's not her fault but..." and go on to question her motives. Maybe your victim shaming is the reason some people never come forward.
This happened to my roommates and I in a Keurig 2.0 with my Community ones. At first, it would put a few grinds and eventually it got worse. By the time we were through the pack, the kcups would explode in the Keurig. :geauxtigers:

Yeah but that’s the point. GS and firms like that don’t recruit out of schools like LSU. Actually they do for diversity programs but that’s another thing. Your brother got the job I’m guessing because he got a graduate degree at an elite school after LSU or else otherwise distinguished himself working in the field to get the job.
He doesn't have a masters, so the point is that "100% of the time big companies don't hire from lsu" would be incorrect. Is it true in most cases? Sure, but not all

Did he get recruited to work there straight out of LSU?
No, but definitely soon enough after to where that would be relevant to the hire
