Left-Wing Antifa Terrorists ‘Freaking Out’ over Proposed ‘Unmasking’ Law

Ironically, this proposed law is similar to laws passed decades ago in states like Georgia and Alabama to stop another terrorist group formed by far-left Democrats, the Ku Klux Klan.

Maybe I was wrong in thinking this proposed law was stupid.....if Antifa is freaking out this bad it must be good

if it's a law the criminalizes the wearing of masks while protesting or rioting, than it's a good law

6 Page Thread Here

As i said in the other thread...

Totally against.

I’m no fan of ANTIFA pussies, at all. But this gives the government Way too much power.

What happens if, one day, we actually have a more totalitarian government? If one is protesting what they believe to be a legitimate cause? Maybe you don’t want to show your face because simply protesting can make you a target of government action?

If protesters/rioters, masked or not, break the law by being violent, or whatever, arrest them and charge them accordingly. If you’ve committed a crime that is already in the books, you should be held accountable whether you are masked or not.

It's adding and unnecessary and, in my opinion, unconstitutional modifier. Same way I dislike "hate crimes". A crime is a crime regardless of your motives or what you're wearing.

Sets a bad precedent IMO

How are you going to be held accountable if the police can’t identify you because of a mask?

Jesus Christ you are an idiot.

Your right to privacy (vis-à-vis a mask) is just as important as your right to bear arms. Don't compromise on it today in the event that you may need it tomorrow.

You think people hell bent on starting shite at rallies care about a dumb mask law anyway? Criminals don't follow laws.

There are normally cops present at a protest/riot, right? Arrest them right there rather than standing around and watching like they normally do.

Just my opinion

You can certainly debate it on philosophical grounds but masking laws played a big role in relegating the Klan to trailer park dysfunctionals and federal agents. There are no middle class klansman and there haven't been for a very long time.

And if someone gets away because they are in a massive crowd making it easy to elude the police?

It’s like you aren’t even trying to think about this rationally.

Does it apply to Muslims wearing scarfs? If not, I do not support.

ANTIFA gets arrested ALOT after instigating violence, masks aren't always going to protect you.

Banning masks will not stop violent people from wearing them.

Rioting and violently protesting is against the law. We can all agree on that that, right. If you support this law, your position is that one should not be allowed to wear a mask in public b/c someone might commit a crime (violently protesting/rioting) while wearing said mask. Right?

Gun violence is against the law. We can all agree on that, right? If you support this law, you should also support the position that one should not be allowed to have a gun in public b/c someone might commit a crime while carrying that gun. Right?

Again, just my opinion. I'm for less government intervention in my life, not more.

How about keeping it legal to wear a mask. But if you commit a crime while wearing a mask (including assault at these "protests") and are caught, the punishment would be double what it would have been had you been unmasked.

I don't think it's rational to create a law to ban masks because someone could potentially wear a mask while committing a crime.
