When the framers wrote the constitution the average life expectancy was 55. They never intended for judges to live into thier 80s and sit on the bench for 30 years.

Never change CNN.

I saw that too.

The panel paused awkwardly after dipshit said that, obviously thinking about Ginsburg.

RBG routinely falls asleep in court. I'm all for having some sort of removal process for judges that are senile.

People lived plenty old then. Abysmal infant mortality rate brought the ALE way down. If you made it past teens you were fine.

So they want Ginsburg to step down immediately so Trump can go ahead and get 2 Justices confirmed at once?

I tuned in just in time for..

AC: "people are pointing out that Brett Kavanaugh has previously stated that Roe v Wade is precedent."

Panel Guest: "well that doesn't mean anything. Of course he'll abide by supreme court precedent as a lower court judge. But this is a different ballgame. Roe v Wade is as good as gone."

John Adams helped write the Constitution and died at age 90.

Benjamin Franklin, kind of an influential guy, was 80 when the Constitution was written.

Well of course not. It’s CNN, they aren’t a serious news network.

fricking dems would welcome amending the 1st to eliminate free speech but would start a civil war to keep their right to kill babies in tact. This has to be some kind of sickness?

Yeah, same popular vote bullshite argument.

You know what left MSM?

When America was letting in immigrants left and right the population was 50 million not 325 million.

L.A. had about 10,000 people.

It made sense to bring in people to expand the country and settle it.

This myth that America has historically just let in anyone willy-nily is absurd.

After WWII, immigration was strict as hell.

You had to PROVE you had a job lined up in America, PROVE you had family who were American citizens in America and PROVE you could speak English within a year.

They don’t know how averages work. If a huge number of children/babies died, the number goes down.
John Adams lived to 90, Thomas Jefferson to 83, Ben Franklin to 84, etc etc

Life expectancy stats in history are heavily misunderstood because they include child mortality.

TONS of young children died in older times and that skewed the average way down.

Typically if you lived past childhood your life expectancy was pretty decent. Not as good as today but still way better than the #'s you hear quoted.
