If you can add a legit wing AND cap space by moving boogie you do it.

Boogie wasn’t the missing piece vs the warriors. His fat arse would have got us swept. Facts only

Entire different game for Draymond to guard and try to intimidate Boogie as opposed to easily pushing AD around on the block. Not saying we'd win---but I'd like to see that play out over 5-7 games.

I completely agree. Hes one of the only true offensive centers in the league. He would destroy Draymond in the post, and force the warriors to play a big.

Zaza and McGee would’ve logged heavy minutes with Boogie in the lineup. Instead they were basically DNPs in the series.

Boogie on a big contract, or Kuzma in our rotation, with flexibility to add more pieces next offseason.

I love boogie, but if you don’t think having a lights out shooter on the outside, on a friendly contract, and the ability to add more pieces, I’m sorry you’re just stupid.

Everything is speculation at this point until anything happens

Lakers are the only other team said to be meeting w DC so here we are exploring S&T possibilities

Destroying Draymond in the post would require convincing Boogie not to play "point Boogie" and actually play in the post.

Lebron landing LA will have a ripple effect. He lost out of PG already. If he really believes what he said about DC and there are only so many options out there that can conceivably be a piece to take down GS, I would not rule anything out until pen hits paper

If the Lakers have a legit shot at adding LeBron, Kawhi and Boogie, they shouldn't let attachment to anyone on their current roster stop that from happening. Plus if we did end up getting Kuzma in a S&T, I think it'd be a lot more like what MM described than just Boogie for Kuzma. It'd be a swap of Deng for Solo or possibly just taking Deng without a Solo swap. That's a reasonable trade for the Lakers considering what else they'd be adding.

Mirroring what Gyno just said about it being all about what LeBron wants, not getting Boogie to keep a guy like Kuzma would be like 4 years ago if Cleveland told LeBron they'd be happy for LeBron to sign as a FA, but they weren't going to trade Wiggins for Love like he wanted because they think Wiggins has too much upside.

Taking on Deng without sending out Hill should be an absolute non-starter for us.

I'd be ecstatic for this. Then again, I might be one of 6 people on the planet that think Deng can contribute.

Kuzma and Deng make $20 combined. Most people seem pretty excited about the idea of turning Boogie into $26 million Otto Porter without immediately moving Hill. If Kuzma is a legit starting SF I don't see how it's much different than swapping Boogie for Porter. That's the big If though. I haven't watched him enough to say one way or another, but MM gave him a pretty ringing endorsement as a fit at SF.

Dell should fight hard to include Solo, and the Lakers are reportedly one of the other teams that were looking at him and pushed up the price Dell had to pay to sign him in the first place, so it might not be a hard sell. But if you get your long term starting SF out of this and end up turning Solo and a 1st into solid bench players later, isn't that still a big net positive?

No. You’re moving the goal posts further and further into a worse deal trying to sell it. Any deal taking on Deng, a player likely to never play again, is tough.

Taking him on without moving Hill is ludicrous.

Porter and Kuzma are also different players. We know what Porter is. Kuzma I think will be a really good player but you can’t know for sure. You’re also taking up another roster spot with a useless player.

Whether it would be good deal or not hinges on what Kuzma will be, not Deng being another bad contract on the books. I’m not saying Deng doesn’t matter, but Kuzma is cheap enough to make him not matter if he’s a starting caliber player on a playoff team.

Davis destroyed Green in the post except for the bull shite refs.
