Why us? Why me? Why her?" Samantha Gandy said.
Gandy said two years ago, she and her 4-year-old daughter aired on the Animal Planet network after her daughter got dangerously ill overseas.
"I really think it was one of the worst decision I've ever made," Gandy said.
She starting getting messages on social media, some good and one she said sent her over the edge.
"He just said he fell in love with Audrey," Gandy said.
She said a man she believes to be from California keeps sending her messages about her daughter. They go into detail about what the man wants to do with and to the child.
"He was talking about using a medical kit and giving my daughter a very vulgar physical exam," Gandy said.
Gandy said the last straw was a few weeks ago when she got a letter sent to her home by who she believes was the same man.
"I don't know how he found the address. My guess is the internet," Gandy said.

This guy walks free while some 22 year old rots in a prison over a half a joint in his car ashtray

I was going to make some joke like "what else am I supposed to do with my free time". Thank goodness I read past the title of the thread. This is why my wife and parents know my stance on posting pics of my son online. I don't mind major things, but I can't stand posting every single thing. Who knows what whacko's are looking at that stuff.

If only there was a way to stay offline/change screen names/not go on the news, etc...

About eight years ago, I got wind of an elementary school teacher in my area that was collecting info from her classes and was going to post extensive bios of all the kids in her classes online. Pics, names, addresses, names of family and pets, favorite foods, etc. She thought it would be cute to let the kids and parents “get to know each other”. Keep in mind she was going to do this on the schools open website. I spoke to the school administration and asked them if they were outt of their fricking minds. They defended the idea at first and said they were considering her project as a template to do the whole school.
I actually had to sit and explain to these idiots why this was a horrible idea before the light bulb came on and they killed the project. What finally got them to realize how bad of an idea it was is when I took their question template and used the requested info to explain how a child could be stalked and kidnapped with the info. Go sit near Little Bobby’s (name) house (address) until you see him outside (pic) and approach him and tell him his dog Spot (pet name) has been hurt and his parents Bill and Sue (parents names) sent me to pick him up to go to the vets office. Etc, etc. it is scary how naive some people are about their information.

While this is true, there is a plethora of personal information on the internet. It’s very easy to find addresses and associates of people through a simple search engine.

not nearly as easy as you make it sound..You want to find the info for the woman in the story ?

I wouldn't google anything about that lady, you'd find yourself being watched by the FBI
I agree with him though by and large it's pretty damned easy to addresses and such

I could give you her address, former addresses, next of kin/immediate family tree, their addresses, and her place of employment in about 15 minutes.
Its scary easy.

22 years? That joint must have been found during a murder investigation

Cool story bro, but this is weird that you got so involved if you don't have kids at the school.
