My wife is looking for a place to have brunch on Friday.
Here is what she is looking for:
-Not looking for anything fancy
-not in the French Quarter. (Uptown, mid-city, westbank, lakeview are all good to go)
-And not Biscuits and Buns on Banks

I like the breakfast at cafe Adelaide in the Lowes

I also vote for Ruby Slipper in Uptown. Use the no wait app and you don't have to wait for a table. Really creative good brunch food.

Seriously, you'd have to narrow down what you're looking for in a lunch spot in Nawlins. So many good choices.
To toss out an option, try La Thai, Uptown.

I don’t know where to have brunch on a Friday that isn’t considered a breakfast place. There may be an exception or two.

Atchafalaya and Stanley are the only one I am aware of.

Atchafalaya, which also happens to be one of the best brunches in the city anyway.

Bakery Bar, great cocktails and desserts too. I think they fit all of your criteria but you may want to check their website.

FullBlast Brunch on Cortez in Mid City, where a Ruby Slipper used to be. Went about ten days ago and it was great. The black drum dish rivaled dishes I have eaten at much more expensive restaurants, like Commanders and Herbsaint.

I'd do Cavan. It'll set the mood for her and she will enjoy the brunch.
