To those excited about LSU's #3 recruiting ranking

Rankings mean absolutely nothing right now.

I personally do not like the way they rank recruiting classes. I think it should be based on the average talent rating of the class, coupled with the needs of the team, perhaps (which, yes, is something you can quantify. Could be a very subjective metric, but so is the player rating).

Based on average player rating, we are currently ranked #15 by 247.

Not saying all this is bad for LSU, I'm excited about this class. We're filling needs, it has great potential.
