I don’t understand why so many people like Britney Spears

Can’t sing, can’t write a song, can’t play an instrument. Even when she uses auto tune, her voice sounds nasally and screechy. I don’t get it.

Around these boards, it's mainly Louisiana homers that stick up for her. Yes, she is hot. And she has been able to make a ton of money and still making it.
But, the OP is correct. She is not an overly talented musician. She is trashy to boot. This board would destroy her, if it weren't for her Kenwood upbringing.

She has the best pop song of the 21st Century, indeed one of the best pure pop songs of all time.
I think a lot of girls in the South found her relatable before her mental breakdown, and most everyone can respect her putting her career in the backseat to raise her kids.
I shudder to think what kind of sick, depraved shite she had to go through to reach that level of stardom.

Actually her music is not my style but I took my wife to see her several years ago and I have no way of knowing if she was lip syncing or whatever but as far as entertainment goes it was a great show. I've been less impressed with musicians and bands that I do like after seeing them live.

Most people don't know the half of it. My brother in law has done work for her and dealt with her directly. This is a guy who never has a bad thing to say about anybody. He said he would do whatever he could to stay out of the same room with her and interact with her as little as possible. Said she's an extremely unpleasant person to be around.

She's a rich, white woman who lost custody of her kids. You have to be pretty fricked in the head for a court to do that. She still doesn't even control her own finances because she's too retarded to handle it.
