Eh Idk about Glock jamming... or the fact a SAS Officer can't unjam it when it very rarely happens. You can Christmas tree a Glock which I've done before but most jams can be simply fixed with a tap, rack, bang. Not saying the story isn't true. And confined space he may have just thought the claw hammer was more efficient. But to say the pistol was inoperable due to jam Idk about...

Don’t need to swing it, necessarily. You can use the claw portion to rip the throat of your victim. That said the average trajectory you need to swing and bash someone’s skull, chin or ear is about 2-3 feet. Probably gonna need repeated strikes, but that would explain the blood.
