Grey market

You get jomas warranty not manufacturer

Heard it explained as international watches sold into US market. Not through Authorized reseller so no warranty. It is still a first inventory and actual brand.

Other explanation I heard authorized dealer has to buy x numbers to stay dealer. Sometimes to.move inventory they sell to grey market for cheap no warranty.

Heard some say they had good Jomas experiences. I just bought my dad $400 Raymond Weil so not much risk

You're this worried about a $150 watch??

Yes, Jomashop is just fine for a watch in this price range. Enjoy your watch and wear it in good health. Welcome to the watch fellowship.

I think Broke recommended it the other day, so it must be decent.

It’s fine for the watch you are looking at.

However if you get in to the higher end stuff it might scare me a bit. Nonetheless I suppose big name luxury watches like Omega, IWC, etc would probably be fine well past their warranties before needing service. So who knows.

It's legit. I've heard of high end watches coming with their serial numbers removed so the manufacturers don't know what dealer unloaded their inventory to Joma. But that's the only negative I've heard.

I have purchased 4 watches through Jomashop: a citizen, a TAG, a Longines, and an Omega. All transactions were totally painless, and the price was the best around.

As stated before, if you're buying an "inexpensive" watch, who cares about the warranty? If you're buying a more expensive watch, it should go a long time without breaking. I was willing to take the risk.
