Sign up for three months of directv now and get an Apple TV for free. Then cancel after three months and sign up for YouTube tv.

Buy an AppleTV and get PS Vue instead.

Yes they let you keep it after you cancel. But you are prepaying for 3 months so may as well give the service a whirl.

I prefer a regular computer with a wireless keyboard/trackpad. Because I have a hard time dealing with the click lag associated with most devices and I can do much more than watch movies with it.

Are you looking for the least expensive solution, 4K support, stick, a device that integrates into your smartphone, tablet, PC ecosystem?

From Google's web site: https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/
quote:

TV: Stream with Google Chromecast or download our app on Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, Xbox One and supported Samsung and LG TVs.
Roku prices range from $30 - $100: https://www.roku.com/products

Chromecast prices range from $35 - $69: https://store.google.com/category/home_entertainment

Any of these will work.

Apple TV is a fine device but a little pricey.

No support from FireTV, surprise, surprise.

YouTube has a disadvantage compared to Netflix & Amazon Prime when it comes to original content. In addition, they have the least contracts with the major networks for series replays.
