Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett is concerned about public backlash over police conduct when a video that shows officers using a stun gun on Milwaukee Bucks rookie Sterling Brown -- without provocation, according to a report -- becomes public.
"I'm going to let the release of that speak for itself, but yes, I definitely have concerns after watching that video," Barrett told reporters Monday. Barrett said Police Chief Alfonso Morales had a similar reaction to the video, which could be made public as soon as Wednesday.
Police officers used a stun gun on Brown and arrested the then-22-year-old guard during questioning over a parking violation in a Walgreens parking lot at about 2 a.m. on Jan. 26. Sources who have seen the body-camera footage told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Brown was not at all combative before officers used the stun gun.

At least it was just a stun gun.
That's progress.
That's progress.

I'm eager to see the video when it gets released. From reading the story, it doesn't look good for the cops at all.

The assistant police chief saying this is probably not a good sign
quote:
"There's going to be a video that's going to come out soon, in the next couple of weeks, involving the department," Assistant Police Chief Michael Brunson Sr. told a church congregation on Sunday, according to WITI-TV. "And I'm going to be honest with you, we're going to need your support during the challenges."

From the mayor and the police chief?

now everyone is going to think the guy from This is Us got arrested.

I don't understand why the police chief would be asking for support during these "challenges."
If the officer or officers fricked up as bad as everyone is insinuating, fire the motherfricker and work on not employing pieces of shite in the future.
What is there to support here in this challenging time?

That sounds like he is admitting they fricked up, but "support the thin blue line"

I had that same initial thought. But apparently the mayor and police chief are admitting the officer fuxked up. So this may actually be different.

A plea for no rioting?
Like someone said, if it's egregious, just fire the officer(s) and avoid public outcry.

That is normally said by attorneys for the accused or their family members. Not the people who are on the opposite side.

It probably means we know we have a guy that is a complete frick up. We're going to fire him and charge him. In the mean time, please don't riot and burn shite.
