Glenn Guilbeau just now on ESPNU -LSU has the lowest talent level since Nick took over LSU

Said nothing good about the team with 5 to 6 loses this year. He was hard to listen to and the 2 national talking heads seemed to be more up-beat about LSU than Glenn.
No running backs or CB's - Talking about Aranda - hard to have a great D when you have limited CB play
I agreed with him of course in his statement about LSU for over 10 years has not been able to bring a HS QB to LSU and grow him up
It's all good because all this will be wiped clean based on what the team does. Nothing said now will be remember unless the talking heads get something right.
I know many of you agree with Glenn - I am not in that number.

I don’t think that what he said is inaccurate. The only good thing about a guy like Glenn who takes his position is that every now and then he’s right.

CB is a concern but Greedy Williams is an all American caliber CB. Between Kirklin, Netherly, Vincent, Williams, Joseph I'm pretty sure they can get the rest of the CB spots on the field figured out.
White might be the best LB in the country and there are other talented LBs and a hell of a defensive front to help open things up for them to be productive
Safety position is talented and deep
And we have Aranda running the system
If he thinks CB depth alone is enough to make this team weak he might be insane

Guilbeau is a tool. Defensively LSUis as talented as ever.
The offense is down at RB but up at WR and TE. The OL should be good and with Burrow the QB position is going to be better than it has been since Matt Flynn.
I don't agree with Guilbeau at all.

I'm a realist and what Glenn is failing to mention is yes, LSU is lacking experience and depth at CB BUT well make up for it with one of the best Dline's LSU has had since 2011.

Now with a competent quarterback is more than just a "game manager", this team should be right in the middle of the fight contending for the sec. no more than 3 losses should be acceptable. 3 worst case. With our two most difficult opponents at home, a well coached team should not lose more than 2. Should find a way to split bama/Georgia imo

Guilblow cares about one thing, web traffic. He's a contrarion, just like Skip Bayless, Danny Kanell and Tiger Ree. They want the attention and love when you guys talk about them.
This idea he's throwing around is total nonsense. According to 247, LSU was the 6th most talented team in the county last year. LINK
We've seen it mentioned on this board over and over and over again that LSU was very young last year and played 30+ freshman. That's been the narrative all off season. So, after adding these amazing transfers and "beefing up the lines", I'm supposed to believe that now LSU doesn't even have top 25 talent? Get the frick outta here Guilblow. Fricking clown of all clowns.
