Anyone have any luck with this? Bill was for $120. I was in the process of moving when all this happened and apparently missed the bill. I thought it would be covered under insurance. Ive heard something about HIPPA being able to be used of something?

Why not just pay the bill now if you owe it?

Pay it. Then in a few months, dispute it. Since it's been paid, the company won't take time to do all the work to prove it's legit so it'll get removed.

Medical collections don't hurt your credit score but if you are doing something like buying a home they may make you take care of it

So from what I understand HIPPA prevents the actual medical bill from being on your credit. But when the debt is turned over to a collection agency, it is fair game. Nice work around.

MrsPop works in medical collections. It should not be on your credit report.

You should try HIPAA.

Write a letter to the bureaus stating your case and what happened. State that it has since been paid and it was a mistake. In this case, when people actually take the time to address minor situations like this, they will usually remove it from your credit report.

You are part of the reason that doctors are so underpaid

Just pay what you owe like a civilized human being

Pay what you owe.

Had to go through this with my wife a year ago. She was in a wreck in college and the lady whose fault it was never paid so they stuck the bill on my wife. Called the collections company, just went ahead and paid it (like $150), and it was off her credit like 3 days later.

Recent changes to credit reporting should have kept that off your credit report. I didn’t think they put medical collections on there anymore.

I'm a lender. My company completely ignores medical collections, Verizon, & Direct TV collections. Don't see too many Verizon & Direct ones any more though.
