My sophomore year we had a fight in one homeroom that involved eight or ten guys. After the initial fight was broken up, and the guys were taken to the principal's office, one boy threw another one through the window between the principal's office and the front desk office. That's when they called the cops.

Yes, I went to a Louisiana public school.

There have been 19 fights at my school this year. Another one today. 18 were females.

Most started off campus on the web.

Serious question, what is a transfer bus? Like a bus that transfer you to another bus line for your house? Just confused about it in the school context and why it’s so emphasized here. Thanks

It's exactly that...a transfer bus where kids get off one bus and on another.

It's probably because they go to mass at least once a week.

Ok well I guess my daughter's school doesn't let trashy kids that fight in.....either way is fine with me.

It's basically where kids who live in shitty parts of town are bussed in to another zone to attend school.

I think most parents have a false sense of what really goes on at private schools. Their not all rainbows and butterflies either

Do they teach the correct use of there, their, and they're?

And the data says you're wrong. They aren't perfect, just exponentially better than their public counterparts.

The amount of people who think their private school kids go to school with other perfect angels is hilarious. The reason most private school parents don’t hear about fights at school is because the administration does a great job of hiding that stuff because they want you to feel extremely safe sending your child their and keep paying tuition.

I agree that big fights are way more common at low income public schools but let’s face reality private schools have fights to not many but some.

The data says your daughter won’t turn into a whore and your son won’t do drugs?

Not arguing that at all. What baffles me is when parents send their kids to private schools when they live in a great public school districts.

The data says they are more likely to get into higher level colleges, earn scholarships, not go to prison, and earn higher salaries.

Nothing is guaranteed. It's just understanding statistics.

Charter & Magnet schools disagree. I get it though

Sure they do and they are in the greater BR area. Maybe not classified as great but very good
