So exactly why did it take so long for these memos to be released?

They are pretty damning, but damning for James Comey. Was the doj trying to protect him or is Big James the actual target?

It’s the same reason Comey never informed Trump that the poss dossier came from the Clinton campaign. That would’ve been the end of it and none of this investigation would have ever happened.

The unknown, or anything but the truth hurts Trump, the damage has been done, and won't be put back into the bottle.
Trump has zero friends in DOJ leadership, including sessions. If that piece of shite did his job this would end tonight and hundreds of slimy fricks would go to jail. He doesn't though, and needs to be fired

exactly. Rod has had the memos from the beginning. The leaking of the memos is what is supposed to have spurred the appointment of the SC. What are we missing?

The fighting and wrangling that we hear about in the news is only a fraction of what is actually going on behind the scenes. Our government always has and unfortunately probably always will not believe that the average American person can handle the things that actually happen. We the sheeple get a few nuggets of info and that's all.

Trump fired Comey, Comey leaked the memos, and acting AG then appointed a special counsel. Comey then testified that he leaked the memos in the hopes that a SC would be appointed. This whole Trump/ obstruction of justice line is directly tied back to Comey. The leaking of these memos is the reason the SC was appointed.
